Westport - The new swim, tennis & fitness club has been approved by the Westport community.. It will be located adjacent to the Westport Golf Club. Construction is planned to begin by May 2008 with expected completion early 2009. The club will ave a 5000 sq. ft. clubhouse, a tennis pro shop, locker rooms, meeting rooms, a lounge and offices. It will also have a 2500 sq. ft. fitness center, a 5000 sq. ft. Jr. Olympic sized pool. The community featues single familly homes with a price range of $390,000 to $600,000 and town homes ranging from $130,000 to $250,000 .. It also has condos marketed to the active adult buyers.
Ingleside Plaza
– Shopping center about 96,000 square feet at southwest corner of NC 73 and Little Egypt Road. Expected to have supermarket, a bank, a drug store and retail space. Approved last October
Westport Lakeside LLC
– 220 acre project off Fairfield Forest Road & NC 16 194 one story condos planned for over 55 as well as 130 two story townhomes & 121 single family homes. They also have plans for a 30 acre commercial tract on NC 16.
Villages of Denver
– 245 acre community with a planned 685 homes off Optimist Club Road. Slated for building out in 7 years. Construced started on first 45 homes last fall with more under way. The community will have 45 acres of open space with walking trails, a clubhouse and swimming pool.
Carolina Ridge
– 1571 home active adult community for people 55 and older off NC 7e and Little Egypt Road.
